For Parents

At First Baptist Church we realize that some of the most important learning in life takes place not in churches, schools, sports, or other activities, but in families.

The hours and days parents and children spend together are the prime opportunities for building long-lasting spiritual foundations. To help with this awesome responsibility, we have several tools for you to use.

Parent Tools

The Scope and Sequence Chart makes you aware of the content and goals for each week of this semester. Stick it on your refrigerator, and you will know what the verse and lesson is for each week.

The Teacher and Parent Connection will come each week and will have ideas for how to talk with your children about that week’s lesson.

The Family Talk page will be on the backside of the Teacher and Parent Connection and can be used to talk through each week’s Bible story and verse.

Other ways to help

Talk about the verse and review it so they will be ready to say it for their teacher.

Ask your child about their coloring or puzzle page. This is an excellent way to find out what they learned.

Encourage your child to bring a Bible and wear their Spark shirt each week.

Attend the family events we have each semester to celebrate with your child.

Visit anytime or better yet get involved with our program. We would love to have you!
