The purpose of the First Baptist Church is to bring |

God is on the move as usual. March 16 our BYF children will be singing in both services, John 3:16 which is my key verse for the message on this March 16th Palm Sunday. We have ten people that plan to be baptized on Easter Sunday, March 23. It’s not too late to be a part of this group. On Easter Sunday I will continue to preach from the gospel of John with the message ''The Light That Shines Brightest". On Easter Sunday we will not have Sunday School, but instead have a potluck during that time. April 3-10 we have four from our church going on a missions trip to Guatemala: Jessica Britt, Dallas McDermott, Cherie Eckhoff and Darby Sanders. They will be doing youth rallies with Chad Hambrick and Scott England. April 7-18 I will be going on this year’s mission trip to Latvia along with Kathy and Rachel. I already know I will be preaching four times, leading Bible studies, doing lots of visitation and praying for people. Please remember these mission trips in your prayers and financial help is always appreciated. April is the month we will feature the ministry of Shelby County Community Outreach (S.C.C.O.). On April 6th I will preach on I John 3:11-18, "Love in Action". April 13th, when I am off to Latvia, we will have a combined service at 10:30 A.M. with Faith Sound in concert. April 30, 7:00 P.M. we have our last BYF for the children with comedian, Darren Collins. That same day at the high school is the “7 Project.” May 11 is Mother’s Day. On May 18 we will honor our high school graduates. You can put June 8 on your calendars for our outdoor service and potluck picnic at the fairgrounds. June 15 at our 10:30 A.M. service we will have the quartet “Headin’ Home”. June 28-July 4 is a youth mission’s trip to Mexico with Adventures in Missions.
